My Goal for Your Animal Communication Session

Hold a safe and compassionate space to listen, observe and translate the dynamics of your horse to encourage energy healing, stress and trauma release, and a deeper level of understanding and connection moving forward.

  • Improved Healing and Energy Flow. If the horse has suffered trauma and is afraid of being hurt again, empathic listening, sensing, feeling, and then clearing of energy blockages can help the horse find a more balanced energy flow... where the horse's nervous system can calm and heal from traumatic experiences.

  • Reduced Stress and Anxiety. Horses often become calmer and more relaxed during and after this energy work. With a calm and understanding presence, we can help reduce our horse's stress and anxiety moving forward.

  • Pain Relief and Overall Well-being. Energy work can help alleviate pain associated with injuries, arthritis, and other conditions affecting the horse's energetic system. This work promotes a greater sense of balance and harmony on all levels.

  • Deeper Connection. Paying attention to a horse's body language fosters a stronger bond based on mutual understanding and respect.

  • Enhanced Performance. By releasing tension and improving energy flow, it can contribute to better movement and athletic ability.

  • Enhanced Safety. Being able to recognize subtle signs of stress, fear and discomfort can help prevent accidents and build trust.

  • Improved Training. By understanding how the horse is responding to training and behavioral pressure, the trainer can learn to be more humane in their methods.

  • Effective Communication of Needs. When we know how and what the horse is communicating, we can better respond to the horse's needs and preferences.

Communication beyond words...

Horses don't speak with words, they communicate through behavior and their energy. Known as Somatic Communication, this is the language of the body, the senses, expressions, energy levels, and even physiological responses. I can speak this language. I'm the translator of your horse's behavior.

My training with Mary Albanese of ZenZu Animal Communication & Energy and Michelle Peterson of Medicine Horse Healing has helped me refine my skills in listening to the unspoken whenever I meet a new horse. Through constant practice, I better understand the messages and feelings I receive from the animal that are often related to past traumas or unresolved pains the horse is feeling. The 'Spirit' of my business name is fully coming to life! I continue to trust what I feel, submerse myself in the animal's energy, and focus on the healing that is possible when I truly listen.

What a session looks like...

I prefer to stand alone with your horse while I listen intently to what they have to say about their life. I collect everything they give me and translate it into words. Some horses send me visual scenes, some make me smell something, and others in physical pain will let me feel their pain on my body where it is hurting them. The session may include energy healing. My communication process doesn't hurt but it can be overwhelming -- as this is often the first time they are being understood by a human. If I sense that the horse is overwhelmed, I will recommend that I come back for another session where I can focus on healing blocked and stagnant energy. Healing is always a process.

As a nurse practitioner, I will be the first to say that energy work, massage and bodywork are not a replacement for veterinary diagnosis and treatment.

The healing services I provide are complementary therapies for the holistic care of the horses in our lives. Through their behavior and their energy they let me feel their pain, sense their memories, and see where they have been.

I consider it my gift to share what I've come to learn with you, in the hopes that you too will promote the free spirit of the horse. We are all energetic beings sharing life on this planet.

May we all continue to learn, do no harm, and heal.

Important Consideration

Horse with heart icon

Body Language is the Primary Communication

  • Horses are highly attuned to non-verbal cues -- in senses of smell, hearing, touch, and awareness of their body in space.

  • More obvious cues can be observed in how they hold their head and neck, tension in their muscles, flick of their ears, swish of their tail, movement of their gait.

  • Subtle cues are found in the slightest changes of shift in weight, softening of the eye, change in breathing.

Extreme Sensitivity to Energy and Presence

  • Horses are highly attuned to the energy and emotional state of any human or other horse around them.

  • They are able to sense subtle shifts in tension, anxiety, or calmness around them -- often mirroring emotional and physical states around them.

  • Your body language and inner state of being influences how a horse perceives and interacts with you.
